Come join Bill Rector and Kyle Carper, the Geek and the Greek of Highland Country Fellowship, and their darling wives Donna and Kim as they stretch their wings and lead us to Egypt for a 10-day journey through the Land of Moses and the Pharaohs. Together we’ll learn about this cradle of civilization where God miraculously rescued the descendants of Israel, brought them out of slavery and led them to the Promised Land. On our journey we will see the magnificent pyramids and learn about the Empire that created them. We will study Egypt’s religious system and how God, who Moses encountered in a burning bush on Mt. Sinai, took on Pharaoh and the gods he served. The clash of this earthly kingdom and the God of Abraham still reverberates through history to our present day.

After touring Cairo we’ll fly to Aswan where we’ll board a 5-star riverboat and sail north down the Nile from Aswan to Luxor. We’ll enjoy four days exploring the Valley of the Kings & Queens, visiting temples and tombs along this incredible body of water that created the most fertile farmland in the world that sustained countless generations. Throughout our visit we will come to understand more of the ancient Empire of Egypt and the Exodus and how that event has shaped so much of the history of our Faith for thousands of years.

We will also offer a 3-night extension to the city of Sharm El-Sheikh located on the shores of the Red Sea. Here we’ll get to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches and the crystal clear waters of this Red Sea resort. We will also visit Mt Sinai. Our there will take us into the land through which the Israelites traveled and to the foot of the mountain that has been identified as the place where God met with Moses and the Hebrews to establish the nation Israel. St. Catherine’s Monastery, at the foot of Mt. Sinai, is the world’s oldest continuously inhabited monastery. For those interested, there will be a special opportunity to make the 2.5 hour hike to the top of Mt Sinai. This group will make a pre-dawn hike and have a quiet opportunity for their own encounter with God as the sun rises on this sacred place. This is something pilgrims have been doing for over 1500 years.

Space is limited. So be sure and reserve your spot with your registration and deposit.
